CERTH

The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) ​is the only research centre in Northern Greece and one of the largest in the country, founded in 2000. It is a legal entity governed by private law with non-profit status, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) of the Greek Ministry of Development and Investments. Its mission is to promote the triplet Research – Development – Innovation by conducting high quality research and developing innovative products and services while building strong partnerships with industry and strategic collaborations with academia and other research and technology organisations in Greece and abroad.
The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Greek Ministry of Development, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 10/03/2000 it is a founding member of CERTH.
CERTH/ITI is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications, with long experience in numerous European and national R&D projects. It is active in a large number of application sectors (energy, buildings and construction, health, manufacturing, robotics, (cyber)security, transport, smart cities, space, agri-food, marine and blue growth, water, etc.) and technology areas such as data and visual analytics, data mining, machine and deep learning, virtual and augmented reality, image processing, computer and cognitive vision, human computer interaction, IoT and communication technologies, navigation technologies, cloud and computing technologies, distributed ledger technologies (blockchain), (semantic) interoperability, system integration, mobile and web applications, hardware design and development, smart grid technologies and solutions and social media analysis.
CERTH/ITI has participated in more than 525 research projects and R&D contracts with the Private Sector (Industry). More specifically, it has been involved in 304 EU funded research projects (167 FP7 & 137 H2020) and in 221 projects funded by Greek National Research Programmes and Consulting Subcontracts with the industry (87 National; 8 Interreg and 126 R&D contracts). The current ITI projects consist of 116 ongoing projects (including EU and national projects, contracts and services), which are currently active with a total budget of 41.938k€.
For the last 10 years, the publication record of ITI includes more than 330 scientific publications in international journals, more than 780 publications in conferences and 100 books and book chapters. These works have been cited in more than 7.500 times.



Project Members

Dr. Dimosthenis IoannidisProject Coordinator

Dr. Dimosthenis Ioannidis is a computer engineer and a senior researcher (Researcher Grade C’) at Centre for Research and Technologies Hellas/ Information Technologies Institute (CERTH/ITI). He received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering, the MSc. in Advanced Communication Systems and Engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his PhD with title «Privacy-aware human presence and movement analysis in controlled and uncontrolled environments», from the Faculty of Engineering department of Computer Engineering & Informatics, University of Patras in 2000, 2005 and 2017 respectively. His main research interests include computer vision, stereoscopic image processing and signal analysis, linguistics algorithms, web services, semantics, visual analytics, energy efficiency, IoT platforms development and security ecosystems. Since 2007, he has been the (co)author of 122 papers in refereed journals, edited books, and international conferences. He has served as a reviewer for several technical journals. He has also been involved in more than 35 research projects funded by the EC and the Greek secretariat of Research and Technology. He is the coordinator of the D^2EPC project for the next generation of energy performance certificates (EPCs). Finally, Mr. Ioannidis is also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, and of the CEN/TS on European Professional Ethics Framework

Dr. Paraskeyas KoukarasProject Manager

Dr. Paraskevas Koukaras is a postdoctoral research associate at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology - Hellas (CERTH) and an adjunct lecturer at the International Hellenic University (IHU). He has participated in H2020 projects, engaging in demand response technologies for improved decision-making regarding energy ecosystems and prescriptive analytics for increased energy efficiency and well-being in residential buildings. His research interests include energy load forecasting and optimization, machine learning, data analytics, information modeling, multi-layer information networks, heterogeneous information networks, graph mining and hybrid functionality algorithms.

Panagiota Chatzipanagiotidou

Mrs. Panagiota Chatzipanagiotidou is a Research Associate at CERTH/ITI. She received her diploma degree in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2011 and her MSc in Earthquake Resistant Design of Structures from the same department in 2013. She has worked as Research Assistant at Boğaziçi University, the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, Department of Earthquake Engineering in Istanbul for analysing the seismic behaviour of part of the Istanbul Gas Network. Her work in CERTH/ITI involves collaborations with international organisations under European programs and she has worked on the H2020 PLUG-N-HARVEST EU project, focusing on developing new modular, plug-n-play products for adaptable dynamic building envelopes. She is currently involved in the H2020 D^2EPC project for the next generation of energy performance certificates.

Athanasios Emmanouilidis

Athanasios Emmanouilidis is a computer systems and telecommunications engineer and part of the technical personnel of CERTH-ITI and has completed a specialized curriculum for IT in business, networking and IT systems security. He has worked previously as a database engineer and has experience in integration operations/development and IT support. He is familiar with a multitude of IT tools spanning several disciplines and fields and has strong team and project organizational skills. His current aspirations include expanding his current software and web development knowledge exploring different technology stacks in different projects as well as exploring various other disciplines in the IT field. He is currently working as a full stack web developer.

Vasiliki Stavrou

Vasiliki Stavrou is a Computer Scientist and part of the technical personnel of CERTH-ITI. She holds an MSc in Applied Informatics specialized in designing and implementing software solutions. She has been involved in researching scientific literature and has analytical skills and a dedicated approach to working in any highly controlled working environment. She is open to challenging R&D opportunities within the science sector.​

Project Members

Dr. Byron Ioannou

Byron Ioannou is an Associate Professor at FredU, currently coordinating Urban Planning and Development Unit. He studied Architecture (Dip. Eng.) and Urban & Regional Planning (MSc and PhD) at the National Technical University of Athens. He has also studied Planning Law (PG Cert) at Leeds Beckett University. He has an extended professional and research experience in planning, built environment and development issues. He is a member of ETEK (CY), TEE (GR) and the Royal Institute of Town Planners (UK). His current research focuses on development plans and regulation processes, planning law, housing and inclusive urban development, environmental aspects of urban development, urban green, density and sprawl.

Evi Demetriou

Evi Demetriou is a researcher at Fredrick University that specializes in environmental hazards and disaster management as well as community engagement and crisis management for both anthropogenic and natural hazards. She has worked on multiple European Funded projects, 9 of which she was primary project manager - one of which was a Horizon2020 project, as well as multiples that she consulted on. She has strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and is motivated to explore the field of smart buildings and sustainable living. She is also currently working on becoming a BREEAM assessor.​

ENERGY@WORK

Energy@Work​ is an innovative non-profit start-up organisation founded in 2014.  The scope of Energy@Work is to fill up existing gap between applied and industrial research, supporting partners during development of high technological products or services, disseminating and validating results, promoting partnerships between public and private entities.
The members of E@W can show off wide and substantial experience in energy efficiency, ICT, automation and control, development of AI control algorithms able to interact with the field through multiprotocol interfaces enabling compliance with most of BMS and utilities.
Their expertise ranges from the optimization of energy consumptions in complex buildings through automated synergic management of HVAC, lighting, renewable and storage systems, to Demand Response forecast, profiling and segmentation and from solution to increase interoperability of the energy management systems with main building control and automation standards and proprietary protocols, to the development of gateways to enable the communication and control of legacy energy consuming and/or storing appliances.

Mr Luigi D’Oriano (male) - MSc. in Electronic Engineering, expertise coordination and project management in the field of energy efficiency, with technical competences in optimization algorithms, modelling and simulation. He has been the Project Manager of Energy@Work national project and WP coordinator in H2020 Project eDREAM and EU FP7 projects KnoholEM and DAREED.

Giuseppe Rocco Rana

​Mr Giuseppe Rocco Rana (male) - MSc. in Electronic Engineering, senior researcher has several expertise in the field of energy efficiency, artificial intelligence algorithms, mechatronic systems for medical application.

Giuseppe Mastandrea

​MSc in Computer Engineering, Researcher, In CETMA (2013), he has gained experience as an R&D tech engineer in EU, national and regional R&I projects relating to the introduction of ICT, IoT and AI innovations in building and manufacturing sectors, contributing also to the writing of project proposals.
In TERA (2017-2018), an Apulian SME with extensive experience in the development of smart IoT products for building energy efficiency and smart manufacturing, He was the Company R&D Projects Coordinator working on relevant pilots such as the BOSCH Bari production site and Marchesi Antinori – Tormaresca estate (precision farming).
Currently, in E@W he is the R&D coordinator of the company activities in European projects related to the integration of AI solutions in the buildings, energy distribution and manufacturing sectors (e.g., injection moulding and aerospace sectors). 


Elena Conte

​Conte Elena, Female, MSc in Computer Engineering, with two years of experience in different technical fields, ranging from IoT (Internet of Things) to Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality and UX Design. She has worked in Smart Home projects, 5G Applications and web/mobile app development.

Marco Antonio Insabato

​Marco Antonio Insabato: a bachelor's degree graduate in electronic and telecommunications engineering and currently graduating from computer engineering. His current interests have to do with automating and simplifying communication processes.

Mercedes Rodriguez Caro

Ms. Mercedes Rodríguez-Caro. Director of National and European R&D, Medical degree

Ms. Mercedes is a Doctor of Medicine (Director of national and European R&D&I projects in different areas: safety, health, environment, energy, circular economy, intelligent cities, process digitalisation). She is an expert in the promotion and management of international R&D&I projects and actions. She has more than 20 years of experience in the coordination and management of singular projects. She has directed research and development projects in different areas, and has coordinated European consortia from conception to completion of the project. She is directly in charge of the development of new creative solutions, according to the review carried out on the client's experiences in each of the business lines. She designs and develops, together with different work teams, research and development projects for client and non-customer companies, public bodies, business associations and foundations, by identifying and maximising the grants for which their R&D&I projects are eligible, and then managing the entire life cycle of the grant and/or aid in its different forms.

Miguel Angel Peromingo Fresneda

Miguel Angel Peromingo Fresneda. Project Manager. Civil Engineer and Executive MBA.

With more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and construction sectors. The main groups where he has developed his professional activity have been ACS-Dragados during his first 10 years where he executed all types of works, and Grupo Lar, during the last 18 years as Technical Director, developing projects in: Spain, Portugal, France, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, etc.

In addition to his functions as Technical Director of the company and Project Manager in most of the projects managed, he has been part of the investment and operations committees of the different companies and countries in which he has developed his activity.

In recent years, he has managed projects in different stages of more than 10,000 homes simultaneously, some of these projects with building capacities of more than 500,000 m2. He also set up, developed and managed a construction company for Grupo Lar in Mexico, given the difficulty of building with local companies, and with which they managed to improve results by more than 10%.


Estefania Lopez Montesinos

​Mrs. Estefanía López Montesinos. Project Officer, Degree in Law .

After graduating in Law, she studied in-depth the judicial area. She began work at the European Association of Development Agencies (Brussels), starting her practice in the preparation and managing of the European Projects. She has experience in different EU Programmes: H2020, Interreg, Erasmus+ and LIFE. Her main role within European projects is project management and administration, quality assessment processes, carrying out communication and dissemination tasks, and the development of technical parts within her speciality.

Even in projects that are going very well, there is usually room for improvement, and we support teams to continuously improve their performance.

Dr. Susanne Geissler

Dr Susanne Geissler is the owner and managing director of SERA global GmbH. She has been active since 1991, as expert and in leading management positions, such as head of department Buildings and Heating of the Austrian Energy Agency and managing director of the Austrian Sustainable Building Council. She holds university degrees in the area of Natural Science and Technology from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna / Institute of Structural Engineering (Dr.nat.techn.), Graz University of Technology (Diploma in Environmental Engineering), and Danube University Krems (European Law, MLS Master of Legal Studies). She is Photovoltaic Planner and holds the EXAA Electricity Exchange Trader Certificate.​

Peter Wallisch

Peter Wallisch holds a Master’s degree (Mag. phil., University Vienna). He has experience in the organisation of conferences and workshops, communication, user involvement and target group oriented text writing and review. He has been managing the professional network “Plattform ig - Innovative Gebäude” (Platform Innovative Buildings) and has worked with OEGNB – Austrian Sustainable Building Council. He has participated as expert in the EU-funded QUALICHeCK project (03/2014-02/2017, IEE/13/610/SIO2.675574) and in the EU funded TIMEPAC project (07/2021- 06/2024, Horizon 2020 grant agreement No. 101033819).

 

European Research Center for Technologies Design and Materials

CETMA

​CETMA ​is a Research and Technology organisation whose activities are focused both on generating new knowledge (Research) and on finding concrete applications of new knowledge (Technology) for companies and institutions.
It is a non-profit organisation and all its profits are reinvested in research, training and dissemination activities. It has all the requirements of a research organisation, as stipulated by European regulations.
CETMA has developed expertise in materials engineering, computer engineering and industrial design. Using these competences in an integrated manner, it is a multidisciplinary player for the innovation of products, processes and services, and is able to promote and assist the growth and development of the national production system and to effectively direct technological development activities.  Specifically, the activities on which CETMA focuses its efforts are as follows
- development of innovative skills and competencies in advanced materials technologies and their applications
- development of specialised software for innovative applications in engineering, manufacturing and services
- development of skills and competencies in the design and development of products for product innovation.


Project Members

Ubaldo Spina

Ubaldo Spina graduated in Industrial Design at Milan Polytechnic. He is the Business Development Manager at CETMA, Research and Technology Organisation, where he works as researcher and industrial designer dealing with product development, design and innovation management processes. Consultant for many companies (SMEs and Large Enterprises) in R&D projects and innovation services, in most cases aimed to develop new generation products through management and supply of advanced services in conceptual design, engineering, prototyping and IP protection. Mentor in many European projects, some of them funded within the COSME program, for the creation and support of transnational collaborations between designers, SMEs and technology providers who wish to develop innovative and design products in the interior design and furnishings sectors.


Italo Spada

Italo Spada graduated in Product Design (Bachelor of Arts Degree) from Central St. Martin's College London (UK) with expertise in Internet of Things (IoT). He is an expert in advanced technologies of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and New Media, Product Design and Internet of Things (IoT). Since 2002 he is a senior researcher at CETMA in the field of creative and digital communication, new media and interaction, applied to the fields of cultural heritage, industrial design, urban development, scientific research and medicine. He is the activity coordinator of numerous research and innovation projects at national and international level and carries out experimentation and management of development initiatives involving the Public Administration. In 2015 he was responsible for the Innovation sector of DPC – “Distretto Produttivo Puglia Creativa” and member of the committee as a contact person for ICT and New Media activities. Since 2018 he coordinates, as Director, the New Technologies and Design Department of CETMA.


Roberta Rascazzo

Roberta Rascazzo. graduated in computer engineering at University of Salento. She is a Computer Engineer with senior researcher profile, expert for over 10 years in analysis and development of multi-channel distributed ICT solutions. As Head of the "Automation and Information Systems" Area, she coordinates research projects financed with national and regional funds and public and private contracts and deals with activities of strategic elaboration of proposals, writing projects on regional, national and European funding lines, project orders, work plans, technical activities, design of ICT solutions and databases, analysis and re-engineering of industrial processes.​


Amedeo Ingrosso

Amedeo Ingrosso graduated in Computer Science at the University of Salento. He works as senior researcher in software engineering for CETMA since 2013. Expert in design, modeling and development of advanced IT systems (web-based distributed Information systems, web portals, content management systems, XML-SOAP web services, knowledge management systems, expert systems, process analysis and reengineering, systems for the traceability of goods and production processes). Expert in design, development, testing and maintenance of relational databases. Currently working on design and development of artificial intelligence systems using machine learning methods.

Antonio Luparelli

Master in Data Science at the Department of Informatics, University of Bari. He is a researcher at the Department of New Technologies and Design of CETMA, with solid experience in quantitative data analysis using (SPSS), visual analytics (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau) and programming languages - R and Python - for data analysis and statistical modelling (including machine and deep learning techniques). Currently, part of his research and work interests focus on statistics applied to the design of experiments, inferential and predictive modelling, and the design of business intelligence systems through interactive dashboards, in different scientific fields.​


 

Waide Strategic Efficiency Europe

WSEE

Waide Strategic Efficiency Europe Limited​ is an Irish sustainable energy consultancy founded in August 2018. It has two directors with extensive international experience in the sustainable energy field: Caiomhe Giblin and Paul Waide. Since its founding WSEE has worked for DG ENER on: the 2nd technical study of the Smart Readiness Indicator, the study on Technical assistance for ensuring optimal performance of technical building systems under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, and the study on the Promotion of e-mobility through buildings policy. WSEE is currently working on the following projects for DG ENER: Technical assistance for testing and implementation of the smart readiness indicator under the energy performance of buildings directive and Assisting the European Commission to monitor the development of standards in response to standardisation requests related to Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations. Aside from the easySRI LIFE project, WSEE is also a partner in the Horizon SmartLivingEPC project.

Dr. Paul Waide

Dr Paul Waide is a director and co-founder of WSEE. He has 30 year’s experience in providing specialised services in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, strategy, policy, market analysis and investment. His clients are drawn from leading government agencies, investors, utilities, technology companies and NGOs, and include: Ademe, BEIS, CLASP, Defra, EBRD, ECI, EEB, eu.bac, the European Commission, ICA, IEA, IEA-4E, IFC/World Bank, ISO, JP Morgan, GIZ, LBNL, Navigant, the US DOE, Unido and VITO. He has assisted over 80 countries to develop and/or implement energy efficiency policies and programmes in the domains of buildings, equipment, industry, transportation and utilities.

Caiomhe Giblin

Caiomhe Giblin is a director and co-founder of WSEE. She has 20 year’s experience in developing and directing sustainable energy projects across Europe with a value of several billion euro. An expert on renewable energy systems she is a professional chartered accountant and has served on numerous company boards in the field​.

Corin Waide

Corin Waide is a researcher at WSEE with several years experience on energy efficiency projects.

Project Members

André van Delft

​​André is managing director and founder of DEMO Consultants and responsible for strategy, management and business development. He is also an experienced consultant specializing in real estate information management and developer of real estate software for buildings and infrastructure. He has designed and built various software solutions for ministries, municipalities, housing corporations, asset managers and research institutions. He also has more than twenty five years of experience in various international research consortia in which DEMO has participated as a partner or coordinator and continues to participate. André combines a creative, innovative information management approach with a down-to-earth, pragmatic approach to developing and implementing the software solutions and services for DEMO's customers. André studied architecture at TU Delft with a specialization in Construction Management and Real Estate Management.

Fatemeh Asgharzadeh

​Fatemeh is a researcher at DEMO Consultants with a background in civil engineering and architecture. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Iran, and a Master's degree in Construction Management and Engineering from TU Delft in Delft, Netherlands. She has worked as an architectural designer on different buildings and building complexes in Iran. Also, she has worked as a project manager in EPCM contracts in the Netherlands. In her Master's thesis, she has worked on implementation of BIM for circular economy in the built environment. Currently at DEMO, she is  working on EU funded research projects.​

 

Austrian Standards International

ASI

​Austrian Standards International – Standardization and Innovation (ASI)​ is the recognized standardization body in Austria, a non-profit service organization founded in 1920. It is part of a national, European and international standardization network: the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Austrian Standards International is bringing together stakeholders from different communities, bridging the gap between research, innovation and the market, enhancing the economic value and impact of research and innovation projects and serving as a channel for disseminating knowledge and innovation.
On European (CEN) and international (ISO) level, ASI regularly initiates and manages new standardization work and also participates on an ongoing basis in European R&I projects which involve significant standardization work.


Project Members

Karl Grün

Karl Grün (Male) is working for Austrian Standards International since 1994 and is Director Standards Development leading the standards development department of Austrian Standards International. He is also Committee Manager of two national standardization committees, including the committee on Conformity Assessment mirroring ISO CASCO. At European level he was Chairman of CEN/BT Technical Committee Management Group (TCMG) and Chairman CEN/BT Working Group 216 Internal Regulations till end of 2019. He studied technical physics (Master Degree and Doctoral program) at the Technical University of Vienna. He is member in the Working Group on Standards of the Association Industry 4.0 Austria - The Platform for Smart Production.

Ilija Ilic

Ilija Ilic (male) studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology in Vienna. Mr. Ilic proceeded to work as committee manager for DIN e.V. (German Institute for Standardization) for 2.5 years. In this position, Mr. Ilic coordinated several national, European, and international Technical Committees. Further Mr. Ilic has experience in Business Coaching, as he worked as a Management Consultant for BearingPoint for almost 2 years. The main aspects of this position were Transformation and Organization projects in the fields of SaaS and IT. Among others, clients were Mercedes-Daimler, Austrian Mail, T-Mobile Magenta, and Nordic Capital. Mr. Ilic now works as an Innovation Specialist at Austrian Standards International, coordinating European Research projects under the Horizon Europe funds. 

Lisa Filzmaier

Lisa Filzmaier (Female) studied Environment and Bioresources Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. She has been working for Austrian Standards International (ASI) since 2020. As former committee manager, she is experienced in providing professional management support to different standardisation committees focusing on environmental aspects on national and European level. On behalf of Austrian Standards, she has participated in different research projects and is nowadays working as innovation specialist at ASI, coordinating European Research projects under the Horizon Europe funds. 

 

Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving

CRES

​The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving​ (founded in September 1987) is a public entity supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy. CRES is the National Centre for Coordination in the fields of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Rational Use of Energy (RUE) and Energy Saving (ES). Its primary goal is the research and promotion of technological applications in the above-mentioned fields both at a national and international level, as well as the support of related activities, taking into consideration the principles of sustainable development. CRES is participating in projects related to the next-generation EPCs. The Energy Information Systems & Planning Department of CRES is responsible for the design, implementation, day-to-day running, user support and system administration of the Greek Energy Performance Certificates Registry  while CRES is participating in the Concerted Action EPBD.

Dr. George Koras

​Dr. Koras holds a PhD in Computer Aided Geometric Design. He joined the Energy Information Systems & Planning Department of CRES in 2000. He has designed, implemented and is responsible for the day-today running, user support and system support of Information Systems with applications in: Energy Efficiency in Buildings, e-government, e-collaboration, presentation and publication of Energy related data through Geographical Information Systems.

Andreas Androutsopoulos

​Mr. Andreas Androutsopoulos is Mechanical Engineer and holds an MSc in RES. He is working at CRES in the Buildings Department / Division of Energy Efficiency since 1994. He has participated in many European and national projects (>30) regarding energy efficiency in buildings. Additionally, he is involved with the quality assurance and accreditation of the building components thermal testing laboratory according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 and his is currently in charge of the Energy Measurements Laboratory. His fields of expertise are the passive solar systems, natural ventilation, thermal comfort in buildings, and thermal energy systems. His research activities are in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, thermal and solar building applications along with dynamic analysis methods applied to the energy performance in buildings. He has also participated in national committees for the implementation of EPBD in Greece and carried out projects for the up-taking of EPCs and energy renovation in buildings. He has more than 70 publications in scientific journals and conferences, and 25 publications in technical magazines.

Elena Taxeri

​Mrs. Elena Taxeri is a Physicist. Her main tasks are the Development, Implementation and Management of national and international programs on sustainable energy, and the design, development, administration and support (both technical and user support) of information systems. She has developed energy information systems including web databases, web platforms, online tools and DDS tools and managed projects, related to Energy Efficiency and RES implementation and Dissemination. She has been liaising with  stakeholders, designing and implementing programs related to the capacity building and she is Member of the Help Desk on the National registry of Energy Efficiency Certificates and the contact point for CRES at the EnR Energy behaviour working group.

Panagiotis Stratis

​Mr. Panagiotis Stratis holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He has more than 20 years of experience in analyzing and developing Energy Information Systems. Experienced in multiple programming languages and environments: Java2EE, Pascal, Fortran, JavaScript. Experienced in multiple database environments: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL. Experienced in the following operating systems: UNIX, Linux, DOS, Windows. Experienced in all of the commercial packages under Windows. Since 1999 he has been working in the Hellenic Centre of Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) and he has participated in many renewable energy (RES) and energy efficiency (EE) projects, funded by the European Commission, International and National funds, concerning analysis and development of Energy Information Systems.

Vassiliki Papadopoulou

​Mrs. Vassiliki Papadopoulou works for the department for the Dissemination of RES & EE Applications at CRES. From 2001, she became coordinator of the department's activities. Since then, she has coordinated and been partner in a number of national, European and international cooperation programmes for the promotion and transfer of energy technologies and policies (design and implementation of dissemination campaigns, organisation of conferences, business missions, publications, market studies, etc.) in the field of RES and EE. Currently, she is acting as Communication Manager for all NRSF projects of CRES.
